Vegan Protein 101

Protein is a macro-nutrient used to build, maintain, and repair cell structures in our bodies.

As you can see, it is a very important component of cell metabolism. As it is shown in many vegan documentaries that “You are what you eat”, and that’s why you should choose your proteins wisely. There is a popular myth about proteins being more abundant in an omnivore diet, but the truth is you can obtain all the protein your body needs from a huge variety of delicious plant-based sources – and of course, there are also supplements that can increase your protein intake easily, like the vegan protein powders.

And the good thing about plant-based food is that it’s more than just protein.

Following a balanced vegan diet, you will also get antioxidants, fiber, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. You may have heard people saying that vegan proteins are not complete, but rest assured that a varied plant-based diet will easily provide you with all the essential amino acids in the required amounts to maintain good health and even promote muscle growth (if you are exercising, of course). Just ask these vegan athletes!

So if you’re interested in learning more about vegan protein, you’re more than welcome to explore our website!
