Pure food protein powder review + coupon
Pure Food Protein Powder Review (+ COUPON)
This is a review of the Pure Food Protein Powder. If you are interested in the Pure Food Real Meal review, we covered that here. And yes, a coupon is included there as well.
Pure Food may not be a very popular name (yet) in the world of fitness enthusiasts, vegans, and really anyone who has a clean diet – but it’s sure worth mentioning.
They are a small business, and their goal is to bring high-quality, natural products that will rejuvenate your body and mind. In fact, their tagline is “The Healthiest Plant Based Protein Powder” – we don’t know about you, but that was enough to convince us to try their products.
The first thing we should mention is that the Pure Food protein powder is the ONLY one when it comes to using all-natural organic ingredients and probiotics, making them a good choice for anyone who takes care of themselves and wants only the best.
Now, Pure Food protein comes in two flavors – vanilla and raw cacao. Since most people who have tried both of them didn’t like the vanilla so much, this article is all about the Raw Cacao flavor.
I know, I know, I put a picture of Vanilla, in the top, and then go on to rave about the Raw Cacao flavor. That’s because I know most ladies like to eat / drink vanilla, well, I can’t help myself. I am a guy, and I like Raw Cacao better. As always, ladies first, so that’s why I put the Vanilla.
And now, drum roll please, the Raw Cacao photo.

TASTE & TEXTURE:
I’ll just say it like it is: Pure Food protein powder isn’t for everyone.
So, if you are someone who cannot live without sugar, sweeteners, and milkshake texture, you definitely won’t like this product (maybe you should try Vega Sport).
However, for those of you who appreciate high-quality clean food products and are ready to sacrifice a bit of flavor, this is the real deal. But to be honest, compared to similar products on the market, Pure Food can be considered just as tasty. It has an earthy and natural flavor to it. If you mix it with almond milk, fruits, peanut butter or anything else you can think of, it will enhance its unique cacao flavor. It goes without saying that, if you only mix it with water, the taste will be plainer and not so enjoyable.
As for the texture, it doesn’t dissolve very well – unless you mix it thoroughly. This is completely understandable with pure, clean products – because real food doesn’t magically dissolve with a few stirs. You’ll get used to it.
All in all, this cacao protein powder tastes natural and clean and makes a great pre or post workout shake. If you’re expecting an artificially sweetened chocolate milkshake, however, you’ll be disappointed. But if you’re a clean eater who understands what an organic, plant-based, natural protein powder is supposed to taste like – then you’ll actually love it!
VEGAN SOURCES OF PROTEIN:
Most people who are on a vegan diet are afraid of lacking the essential amino acids, which we already proved is nonsense.
Having said that, rest assured that the Pure Food protein powder will provide you with all the essential amino acids, using protein from brown rice, pea, and hemp – an excellent combination in our opinion.
INGREDIENTS
Besides packing a protein punch, the Pure Food Protein Powder delivers everything you could ask for, including eight plant-based ingredients with amazing superpowers:
GanedenBC30 Probiotics
Contributes to a better immune system and better absorption of protein. In addition, it will make this protein powder easy on your stomach, which is very important. This probiotic is provenly 10x more effective than yogurt cultures!
Organic Brown Rice Protein
Made without any chemicals and at a low temperature, it’s not surprising why this protein has a high level of rice’s essential nutrients. In addition, the rice protein is gluten-free, non-GMO, hypoallergenic, and most importantly, all natural. All this makes this protein perfect for anyone who has food allergies, whether it be soy, dairy or gluten.
Organic Raw Cacao Powder
Since this powder is not heat processed, it is rich in antioxidants. In fact, raw cacao that is made by cold pressing certified organic cacao beans is one of the foods in the world that has the highest amount of antioxidants. Thanks to this, raw cacao powder has numerous benefits including reducing inflammation, lowering blood pressure and enhancing cognitive abilities.
Organic Pea Protein
Not only this pea protein contains all nine vital amino acids, but it’s also easy on stomach and ideal for muscle growth.
Organic Hemp Protein
One more food that has all nine amino acids that are responsible for proper body functioning. Organic Hemp Protein offers a plethora of antioxidants, healthy fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
Organic Mesquite Powder
This mild and tasty powder has a high level of lysine, calcium, fiber, potassium, and magnesium, therefore working as a blood sugar stabilizer.
Organic Whole Stevia Leaf Powder
Made from all natural stevia leaves and without any additives, this powder doesn’t have calories and sugar, but it’s still slightly sweet.
COST:
We should begin this section explaining that Pure Food is a premium product, which means that the price is heftier than most competitors’ – but the quality standards are also higher. And when buying protein powders, you can’t just look at the price tag. That’s a huge mistake.
Some brands use big scoops and claim that their product has “more grams of protein per dose”. Of course, their doses are bigger! Others sell their products on larger jars, and say that you get “more servings per container”. Who are they trying to fool?
When you’re buying vegan protein powders, make sure to include all these factors into the price equation:
“Product Price”, “Weight”, “Serving Size” and “Grams of Protein per serving”
And, talking about Pure Food, you should also consider the CLEANLINESS factor. Pure Food is made with NATURAl ingredients – that’s why the price point is a bit higher.
Here’s the info about Pure Food:
Product Price: $$$ (Click to see latest prices on their website)
Weight: They come in 512g pouches.
Serving Size: One scoop is 32g
Protein per Serving: Each serving has 20g of protein.

See? Check all those items to make sure the smartass marketing guys aren’t deceiving you by changing the size of the scoop, using bigger containers or decreasing the protein ratio.
If you compare it to budget-friendly products (like the PlantFusion or the MRM Veggie Elite), you may think that the Pure Food protein powder is just too expensive – but we don’t think so.
Considering that it is 100% organic, sugar-free, gluten-free, soy-free, corn-free, non-GMO, it’s safe to say that this protein powder is worth the money.
I’ll even paste here what Pure Food has to say about it:
“…here’s the truth: Pure Food isn’t for everyone.
If you’re looking for the cheapest or best-tasting plant protein powder, we’re not it.
Our product tastes like real food because IT IS real food. We don’t use natural (aka chemical) flavors, fillers, additives, and gums like all the other brands do.
Pure Food Protein Powder is the only plant-based nutritional supplement with 100% clean, real food, organic ingredients + probiotics.”
Enough said.
Pure Food: SHOULD YOU BUY?
Let’s do a quick recap:
Taste: Earthy, natural flavor. Tastes like real food (because it is).
Sources: Great variety, amino acid profile is good. Organic, sugar-free, gluten-free, soy-free, corn-free, non-GMO.
Other Ingredients: Mesquite, Probiotics.
Cost: $$$ (Click to see latest prices on their website) High-end product for people with high-standards for clean ingredients.
Even though Pure Food protein powder is a bit pricier, keep in mind that you won’t get any other plant-based protein powder that has everything you need – essential amino acids, good taste, and a ton of benefits on your body, energy, focus, and muscles.
Many customers are thrilled with this product and stay loyal to it, simply because they care about the quality of the foods they eat. Keep in mind that these are people who put a great deal of importance on eating pure, clean ingredients. If you don’t care so much about that and just wants to increase your protein intake, maybe you should go with a cheaper product like the PlantFusion or MRM Veggie Elite.
All in all, this protein powder is a true masterpiece and is definitely worth buying if you’re a clean eater. If you’re one of those picky customers who only accept the best, our recommendation is that you buy it right now – because there’s a good chance it’ll rock your world!
